The Bead Head Soft Hackle Kern Emerger is a great attractor pattern that works well all over the world. You can fish it as a dropper undrneath a dry fly or dead drift it under an indicator. Some Folks are even using this pattern with European style nymphing techniques. You can also use it as the trailing fly while swinging and stripping a streamer. Most takes come at the end of the swing when the fly looks like it's emerging to the surface.
