The Kern Emerger is a great pattern that works well all over the world. You can fish it as a dropper underneath a dry fly or dead drift it under an indicator. Some folks are evern using this great attractor fly with European style nymphing techniques. It can also be used as the trailing fly while swinging and stripping streamers. Most take at the end of the swing when the fly looks like it is emerging to the surface.
